Coding-agent skill

A portable skill that teaches a coding agent to integrate, test, and clean up inis.run in someone else's project.

Most of the surfaces on this page are for your app calling inis.run. This one is different: it's a small, portable Agent Skill package for a coding agent (Claude Code today; portable to any tool that reads the same SKILL.md frontmatter-and-body format) that is itself building an inis.run integration into a project — picking the right package, handling INIS_API_KEY safely, managing session lifecycle, and verifying the result actually works.

It routes to the same Quickstart, agent-harness examples, and framework adapters documented elsewhere on this site rather than duplicating them — read SKILL.md itself for the authoritative content.

This is not the same thing as the repository's internal contributor AGENTS.md — that file never leaves the private monorepo. This skill package, like the rest of /docs/integrations, is public integration guidance.

Install (Claude Code)

mkdir -p .claude/skills
git clone --depth 1 --branch agent-skill-v1 \
  https://github.com/inis-run/sdk /tmp/inis-sdk
cp -r /tmp/inis-sdk/agent-skill/inis-run .claude/skills/inis-run
rm -rf /tmp/inis-sdk

Claude Code discovers a skill by the directory it lives in (.claude/skills/<name>/SKILL.md), so keep the destination directory named inis-run — that's also the skill's own name: frontmatter field.

Track the exact version you installed by pinning --branch to a specific agent-skill-vX tag instead of always pulling main. See the SDK mirror's tags for what's published; each package in that repo (sdk/agent-skill included) is released independently from this same monorepo.

Upgrade

Re-run the install command with a newer agent-skill-vX tag — it overwrites only .claude/skills/inis-run/, a self-contained directory scoped to this one skill. It never touches your project's own AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md or any other skill you've installed alongside it.

Remove

rm -rf .claude/skills/inis-run

Nothing else in your project references this directory — installing or removing it never edits your own configuration files.

Other coding agents

SKILL.md's frontmatter (name + description) and body are plain Markdown with no Claude Code-specific syntax, so a different tool that reads a similarly-shaped instruction file can point at the same directory. A tool-specific packaging format (for example, an OpenAI Codex CLI manifest generated from the same skill metadata) is tracked separately and not published yet — SKILL.md stays the portable, canonical source either way.
